In the cities of Casa Grande, Coolidge,
Eloy,
and Maricopa there are seven different school
districts providing the public education for our
communities' children. Over the past several
years, all the districts have experienced an
increase in student population of 5 to 8 percent
each year. To keep up with this increase,
several districts have built new schools within
the past 5 years, while others are building
additions to their existing schools.
Casa
Grande Elementary
School District
– Serves approximately 8,000 students in grades
pre-K through 8, with a full-time staff of over
900 including 450 teachers. There are a total of
twelve schools in the district, nine elementary
schools serving grades pre-K through 5, and
three middle schools serving grades 6 through 8.
Casa
Grande Union
High School
District
-
Serves approximately 2,900 students in grades 9
through 12, with a full-time staff of 294
including 162 teachers. The district contains a
high school, an alternative high school, and a
charter high school.
Coolidge
Unified School District
–
Serves over 2,900 in grades K through 12, with a
staff of 463 including 17 teachers. The district
consists of a high school, a junior high, an
intermediate school, two primary schools and two
alternative schools. The seven schools combined
serve students within the Coolidge city limits
as well as part of the Gila River Indian
Reservation, Randolph, La Palma, and some rural
areas outside city limits.
Eloy
Elementary School District
–
Serves approximately 1,200 students in grades
Pre-K through 8, with a full-time staff of 145
including 67 teachers. The district contains a
full day Kindergarten and Pre-School, a primary
school, an intermediate school, and a junior
high.
Santa Cruz
Valley Union
High School
District
–
Consists of one school serving approximately 575
students in grades 9 through 12, with a
full-time staff of 68 including 31 teachers.
Toltec
Elementary School District
–
Serves over 1,100 students in its two schools;
the school in Arizona City serves grades K-4, and the Toltec
school serves grades 5-8 with a combined
full-time staff of 110 including 57 teachers.
Maricopa
Unified School District
-
Serves approximately 1,236 students in grades K
through 8, with a full-time staff of 111
including 72 teachers. The district consists of
two elementary schools, one middle school, and
one high school.
Central
Arizona College
-
Located 10 miles east of Casa Grande is the
Signal Peak Campus of Central Arizona College.
