Sunlife Family Health has recently
announced plans to build its own, much bigger, facility between
2nd and 3rd streets in Eloy, a 10,000 square foot facility -
with ample parking. Along with two additional health
providers at the new facility, the organization is looking to
build a pharmacy, as well. It will be the first pharmacy
within city limits in years.
Global Water is a private water/wastewater company based
in Phoenix. Effective January 2009, Global will be partnering
with the City of Eloy to service the area East of Hwy. 87 and
North of Interstate 10. This agreement gives the city a 3
percent franchise fee from gross revenues generated from the
utility, and $100 per hookup for each residential connection.
This partnership will be saving the City of Eloy millions of
dollars in infrastructure costs.
Walton

Inc.) introduces the Toltec
Business Park to Eloy, AZ –
The Toltec Business Park is
a proposed mixed use
development incorporating a
regional retail center and
an industrial complex. The
Toltec Business Park will be
the one stop shop for
employment and retail goods
at the Toltec Interchange
(Exit 203) on Interstate-10
in Eloy, Arizona.
Schuff International, Inc
is one of the nations leading integrated steel fabrication and erection companies. They have purchased a steel
fabrication plant located in Eloy. The 130,000 square foot facility has an annual capacity to
produce more than 30,000 tons of fabricated steel. The Eloy plant will be Schuffs fourth in Arizona.
Headquartered in Phoenix, Schuff has been in business for 32 years. The company
plans to retain many of the former Strocal employees and will be expanding its
base by more than 50% to support approximately 150 jobs.
Empire (Caterpillar)
has selected Eloy, AZ to be
one of its new Western
Regional Sales and
Distribution Centers.
Located right off of Exit
203 on Houser Road – The
facility will inspect,
service and market used
machines obtained from Cat
Financial. This
program begins July 1st,
2008 and could bring up to
500 machines into the Eloy
area. With time this
facility will become a full
service center for Cat and
Empire. Caterpillar
anticipates potential buyers
from around the world to purchase
from this location.
National Gypsum in
2009 will commence
construction on a 500,000
square foot manufacturing
facility located on Sunshine
Blvd, right off of I-10 and
Exit 208. This
facility will produce Wall
Board for the housing
industry. Upon
completion they plan to
employee 108 new full time
employees from the area.
This $150 million dollar
investment will be a great investment
for the future of Eloy,
Arizona.
Sky Cast
is now in Eloy, AZ. This
facility manufactures
pre-stressed spun concrete
lighting and
telecommunications poles for
urban centers in California,
Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico,
Texas, Colorado and Utah.
The pre-stressed concrete
poles manufactured in the
new 70,000 square-foot
plants will help support
economic growth in the Eloy
area. Located on N. Tweedy
Road and W. Battaglia Drive,
they are now open for
business. Sky Cast employees
about 30 people and the
local investment cost $18
million to complete.
Corrections Corporation
of America (CCA) the
nation’s largest provider of
corrections management
services to local, state and
federal government, has
completed the company’s
largest undertaking in its
25-year history – the
3,060-bed La Palma
Correctional Center in Eloy,
AZ., which houses inmates
for the State of California.
The La Palma Correctional
Facility is located off of
Hwy. 87. This center
will offer 587 new full-time
jobs to the area while
adding an annual payroll of
over $25 million dollars to
the community. This
project highlights a $205
million dollar investment
into the area.
Schuck Corporation is
introducing Transport Arizona
to Eloy. With this
proposed rail-served
industrial park the City of
Eloy is destine to become
the hub of great success.
The park is located east of
Highway 87 between Hanna and
Houser Road.
Union Pacific Railroad has
just finished laying a new
Double Track in anticipation
of this new industrial park. Groundbreaking is scheduled
for 2009.
